Weeks of sunshine - at last it rained !

A garden visit was arranged for 2 June when summer had arrived. After weeks of sunshine the rain finally arrived - on 2 June! The Peterborough Club was undaunted and resilient. We donned our waterproofs and ventured into the most beautiful private garden to explore and before long the rain stopped.

What a privilege to be able to experience such an amazing garden; we could have spent all day there. However, eventually we retreated into a luxurious garden shelter to enjoy fresh coffee, provided by our host Sarah, and homemade cakes made by Annette, one of our members.

And, of course, we were all wondering if the rain had been kind enough to water our gardens too whilst we had been away.
