Moving forward and growing the Club

We are always on the lookout for 'lost' clubs and we find that we can come across FWC members at all sorts of events, shows, parties and sometimes, sadly, funerals. Occasionally, this gives us a link to a Club which is happily continuing with its activities locally whilst, unbeknown to them, there are national events in which they could be involved or, at the very least, they could be receiving the twice yearly newsletter. Our most recent 'find' was Monmouthshire. We would love to be able to link up with more FWCs across the country. Currently we need to find Clubs in Bedfordshire and Carmarthenshire or neighbouring counties as we have had enquiries from potential members.

HOW CAN YOU HELP ?

If you are out and about just mention FWC. Many people remember it, some still belong to it - others have never heard of it ! Whatever the reaction it's a good conversation starter and it could be that you find a Club which has been lost to us and would like to 'belong' and become involved with our ongoing activities. Alternatively you might be able to encourage someone to join your Club or introduce them to the website so that they can take a closer look at what we do and how we support each other.

EVEN START A NEW CLUB ?

The website is also attracting interest from younger farm women who are finding the need to get away from the farm and meet with others for a chat and to share experiences. We all know that it's good to talk. Let's keep talking and in doing so hopefully expand the FWC network.

GOOD LUCK !
